Your patience will pay off eventually

The time that we live in today has become so fast that we now are forced to want things in the now. With the advent of things such as fast food drive-thru’s, the microwave, and the internet it has now become much harder to practice some patience. Everyone wants everything in a pop!

God has taught me something called faith and patience in respect to what we desire to have or experience in our lives. I was quickly prompted to write to you so that you’ll avoid your “next mistake” or that “if only I had waited” moment.

Rushed decisions usually have consequences! Yet even God’s principles are always opposite to the way this world is functioning. We are living in a world that is so fast-paced the word “Patience” when it comes to certain matters is almost now extinct.

It’s as though when you do not have it now, “you’re almost a loser! or “you’ve failed compared to your peers”. Best believe me, it’s never as it seems.

In my journey with the lord, I am quickly realising that there are things I wanted so bad and so fast that had I waited for them patiently and practiced a mustard seed of faith, coupled with some prolonged patience, I would have got them much easier with less pain.

Talk about love relationships, money, certain possessions, like cars, a house, and more. Even think of some of your most pressing needs and desires right now.

People are being sold some of these dreams so fast above and beyond what they can handle or what they have even matured for.

I have acquired some of these things myself, however, I want to tell you that not all of them are to be acquired when the world or people tell you that you should have them. Not even an advert you see flying around should make you desire them now.

Because there are things you have desired, acquired, and had in your possession right now, probably in debt and hard work yet God wanted to give them to you for free, with less labor than usual. My question is have you acquired them by your own effort or through God’s blessing?

If you can’t afford a car now, that does not mean you should buy it on finance. If you cannot afford a house right now, that does not mean you should now buy on a mortgage. Imagine if you literally bought a house cash today? Or your car for cash or an Investment for cash? So faith and patience are two keys that you need right now.

For many reading this, it’s counter-intuitive. This is a far-reaching reality, yet a possible one if you believed in the power of faith and patience in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I for one have managed to achieve some things. Even when I had the option to borrow huge sums of money, but then God blessed me with it in his way and in his time. With less burden and pressure.

How true the word of God is when it says: The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it. Proverbs 10:22

I’ve received some things without the common and painful toil for them that most people go through.

I am reminded of a part in the word of God that teaches on Faith and Patience saying: We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. Then you will not be sluggish but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. Hebrews 6:11-12

Through faith and patience, one can literally buy a house for outright cash in a day when houses are mortgaged. One can buy the latest model car for cash in a day when finance is the easier option. One can start a business without money in a day when lending can be very easy to access. One can get married the right way in a day when jumping from one relationship to the next is rampant simply either out of the fear of being alone, or the notion of hoping to find the right partner for life. To no avail!

God’s word teaches that waiting has its great rewards, it says; But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Even if you were facing a trial situation right now and we’re looking for that quick fix. Why not trust in God instead and allow him to fix it? I believe when you do, you save yourself a lot of pain trying to fix it and your way not working 100%.

Maybe you are trying to get out of debt, as an example, working hard to do it when you can simply start tithing 10% of your income, giving a portion to the poor, consistently, and watch God bless you with more to clear your debts and continue doing good.

God has a word in James 1:2-4:My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Whatever it is that you desire to have or that you are working to get. Wait patiently for God to help you get it or achieve it. And enjoy the blessing of the lord, over the gratification of this fast-paced world that results in painful labor when it comes to achieving your dreams.

Whatever you do, do it God’s way, don’t race it with the world! Millionaires were not born overnight, and normal babies get born except in 9 months.

God bless!
