‘You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor.’ 1 Peter 2:4 NLT
Bishop Dale Bronner once said ‘Man’s rejection, is God’s direction.’ Wow. I’ve never heard it put like this before. This led me to playback on my own life. Think of all the times you’ve had doors closed in your face. Think of the times you were told that you were not enough. Not enough for the position, not enough to be in a relationship with, not man or woman enough, not enough ideas, not pretty enough, not wealthy enough or educated enough. Have you ever been there? I sure have, several times before. Think back to that one moment you felt like your world was over because you were rejected, unwanted, and ostracized. And how did that one moment become the turning point in your life to bring you here? How the Bishop put it is exactly how I started to piece everything that happened in my life. It all led me right to this point. No more wasted tears over what could have been, the only tears you should be crying are tears of joy as you praise God and say thank you. Tell me, where would we all be if it hadn’t been for His grace? God promises us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Even when man rejects us, God uses that moment to direct us along the path of our purpose, just like Jesus.
