Legendary Faith

Faith is the substance of things hoped for

In life, there are decisions that you will need to make and actions you will need to take that will require something more than just your own mental reasoning. Something more which carries a power that works beyond the power that you have within your physical capabilities. I have termed this ‘something’ Legendary Faith.

Have you ever noticed how some things in your life don’t seem to change or move forward and yet you are trying all you know? What if I told you that, this was actually a normal thing to experience in life and it actually is something that needs to happen for you not to depend on yourself 100% of the time but to depend on someone else other than yourself.

There are three key things you will need to always survive well and get through life successfully all the time. These three are Faith, Hope, and Love. Here, I am touching the Faith key. Every situation you have faced in life, every goal you have set, every difficulty you have endured, required Faith for you to get past it.

By faith, you can successfully go beyond the tragedy and onto triumph simply because you chose to stay the course and rely on God more than you rely on your own strength. This kind of Faith that goes beyond circumstances and keeps you going, is called Legendary Faith.

It is something that works today and worked even back in ancient times. Legendary Faith stands the test of times and Legendary Faith conquers some of the most insurmountable difficulties and produces some of the greatest successes that no man has ever seen before. In the bible verse Hebrews 11:1, we see that Faith is defined as “the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

“Faith believes that what it desires, it will get no matter what comes in the way to that goal. Be it getting healed from a terminal illness, fighting off temptations, getting out of poverty, achieving your dreams, and fulfilling God’s purpose for your life, going past the perilous COVID 19 days.

Legendary Faith will stand the journey until that thing is accomplished or overcome. By Legendary Faith, you can accomplish things even without first seeing them with your physical eyes. Sometimes even die without seeing them, but being sure that one day those things are accomplished by your legacy. In the same chapter of Hebrews, there are some heroes who are defined as having conquered great things, because of Faith.

That is why I termed it Legendary Faith. It is the kind of Faith that ultimately conquers all, whether good or bad and your legacy gets to enjoy the fruit of it. Hebrews 11:32-40 says; “I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword.

They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground. These were all commended for their legendary faith, yet some of them did not receive what had been promised since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

“These people achieved all they did because it was by Faith. And today we read them as Legends of Faith in the bible. You even have characters like, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, and many others mentioned in Hebrews 11: 3-31

Some got to see what they had faith for, others did not. The next time something does not happen when you want it to happen, keep living by Faith. Some have desired to get married and nothing happened, others to have kids, and never did, others to be financially wealthy and never saw that day, others to see their nations out of war and it never happened. Others to be better people than they are today both in character and conduct, yet they would somewhat fall away from the perfect standard. But the bible says, their Faith is being perfected by us today.

God wants us to live by Faith, always having hope for what we believe in even when we do not see it because Jesus is the author and finisher of our Faith. If Jesus is your lord and saviour then, you have actually conquered. Some things in this life will happen and some will not so don’t always live under pressure to see it all happen. Neither should it change your attitude in life nor should it change your belief in God, and in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When we stand the tests of life and endure to the end, God regards us as Legends of Faith. The word even says, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” The ultimate question Jesus will ask regarding your life will be, “did you endure to the end?” Why, because we all contribute to the perfecting of this world, even when we do not see the results of it in our lifetime.

Jesus said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto the mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you” Matthew 17:20 KJV

That tells me that to get through life and enjoy it, you need Faith. And whether what you desire happens or doesn’t happen before your eyes, is another thing. By Faith, anything can be possible, and you can get through life just fine, and if you do you are a legend.

Every situation you have faced in life, every goal you have set, every difficulty you have endured, required Faith for you to get past it. By faith, you can successfully go beyond the tragedy and onto triumph simply because you chose to stay the course and rely on God more than you rely on your own strength. God bless
