It won’t always be like this

‘ The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.’ 1 Peter 5:10 MSG

The year 2020 may have had its toll on you, your marriage, your goals, your business, your health, your job, your finances or even your faith. Whilst we have heard the saying ‘success is preparation meeting opportunity’, very few of us were prepared for what the year 2020 came with. Our creativity was challenged and our faith tested. I imagine the person who had made a destiny decision, whilst still finding their feet when COVID-19 hit. I imagine that this person could have simply crawled back into their comfortable place. Maybe this was you.

If you had previously resolved not to make excuses anymore and then stepped up to the plate to make life-transforming destiny decisions, in this month consistency is exactly what you need. Consistency hurts but it pays off. It will make you squirm and, you may even hit rock bottom. With more and more countries going back into high-level lockdowns, God is encouraging us here that whatever you may have gone through or are currently going through, the pain, the loss, the shame, and even the pandemic will not always be that way.

Whilst in this very moment it may look insurmountable and impossible to overcome, this too shall come to pass. Wipe your tears, God’s plans are eternal and glorious. They are not governed by past or present times. The statistics being published and policies implemented are not news to God. He gets the last word and whatever He has declared is the ultimate authority over your life. Remain steadfast, remain consistent in the pursuit of your God-given purpose.
