“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 KJV
One characteristic of eagles that I admire the most is tenacity. Eagles have a strong determination, a sharp vision so they can focus on prey from a long way off until they seize it. This is something we too can learn from. Our lives are made up of seasons, and some seasons will require that you dissociate with certain individuals as eagles do. They will require laser focus. Some seasons will require public transport when everyone else is driving, whilst others will require just a few more months at a job, when everything else seems to be in place to start your business. Yes sometimes we forgo the things we desire in that moment for long term benefits. Waiting on God is a choice you can make today. It might not make sense, however the rewards are outstanding. When we hope and trust in Him, we are assured that we soar. We are also assured of our strength renewed constantly. As the word ‘wait’ points us to seasons, God promises us this: that in each season we stay strong, and are refreshed while in transition.
