You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.’ Psalms 18:39 NLT
It’s a done deal! The enemy is defeated. Even when you are feeling weak and weary, God has provided the strength for the battle you have already won. The weariness is the enemy’s facade to blind us from what God has already given us, victory! The devil is not creative, just deceptive, and manipulative. It is one of his many strategies to make you think you are weak when in actual fact God has given you the strength for the battle you are fighting today. Get up and fight! Here is one thing you should know, the battle against powers and principalities is not easy.
Spiritual warfare through prayer is not easy. Remember those Jesus handpicked as his disciples struggled with it, how much more me and you with so many distractions we are presented with today. Prayer takes discipline. When you do not feel like it, do it still. When you can’t open your mouth to even say a word, let the Holy Spirit intercede for you. If that’s not working either, make silent petitions. Like you have to get up to go to work, even when you do not feel like it, do the same with prayer. Get up and fight! Victory is assured. In fact, it was assured when Jesus died, buried, ascended, and resurrected. You are not defenseless in the face of the enemy, God has given you the armor and strength for it. Get up and fight! For you are equipped for it.
