A way out of temptation

‘The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.’ 1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

God promises you that whatever you experience, He will not allow the test to be one you will fail. It’s like going into an exam with all the answers. You will not be overwhelmed in the midst of temptation, because God provides a way out. Either that or you choose to labour to find another way out. Whatever the enemy will use to destroy you, whether it’s anger, infidelity, theft, jealousy, addictions, God promises that in that very situation He will show you a way out. Make it your assignment to look for that way out God provides before falling into temptation. Here is a good place to start, whenever you feel susceptible to the enemy’s wiles, go through the word of God to figure out what He says about that exact thing and declare it over the situation. As God mentions in the scripture, the temptations we experience are no different from those others experience. Even Jesus was not exempt. The devil tempted Him in areas of his identity, relationship with the Father, and authority in an effort to destroy Jesus’ purpose. Thank God, Jesus shows us the way out. The Word of God! Who in the midst of temptation declared the word of God and the devil left him. Let us imitate Jesus by declaring God’s word.
